In their inaugural campaign the West Chester United over 30 Predators won the Inter County Soccer League over 30 crown in resounding fashion. While going undefeated in league play, the Predators secured 38 points out of a possible 42 in outdistancing their nearest rival, First German Sports Club by 11 points. The Predators led the league in goals for at 60, and goals allowed at a paltry 8 with a goal differential of an astounding 52. Captains Mike Kistler and Chad Von Eck contributed their fine leadershaip to the team.
The underappreciated Karl Zandi and National Team trainer Justin Shaginaw whipped the team all season to keep them at a high level of match fitness. The defense was led by stallwart defender Blaise Santangelo and a pair of fine goalkeepers in Bob Hawkey and Kevin Justice. The teams midfield, led by Peter Luzak dominated the league. Midseason signing Mike Nevin fit in well with Luzak and the boundless energy of Jon Maruca and the precision passing of Mike Santangelo. The strike force was led my a group of skilled assasins including Julio Ortiz, Peter Reali, Don Geist and the clubs elder statesman, Dave Becattini. Well done!!
