Congratulations to the Green Dragons, winners of the U10 Boys Division in Fall 2011. 

After working through almost 3 months of one of the rainiest seasons on record, Sunday’s Semifinals and Final matches kicked off with perfect weather.  In the semifinals, the Bluejays defeated the Orange 1-0, while the Green Dragons won a close match 2-1 over the Red.  The Final pitted the undefeated Blue Jays against the third place Green Dragons.  Both teams had several chances, with goalies and defenses equalling the task to keep the match scoreless until late in the game.  The Green Dragons prevailed 1-0 through a second half goal, supported by staunch defense until the final whistle.  It is worthy to note that this Season’s EOS tournament games were very closely matched, with only one game decided by more than a single goal (a 2-0 score).  This is a credit to all of the players who demonstrated great persistence and to the coaches who prepared their teams and managed through a logistically challenging season.
