SPRING 2013 OUTDOOR RECREATION LEAGUE
For Boys and Girls in Age Divisions U-06 to U-18
The WCUSC Spring 2013 Outdoor Recreation Soccer League is a fun yet competitive league for recreational soccer players of all skill levels from West Chester and surrounding communities. Teams are formed for boys and girls in age divisions U-06 to U-18 (see age chart below; recreation league players may play by grade OR by date of birth). Early bird registration is available from December 20th to February 15th. After February 15th, regular registration is open until each division is filled, or approximately mid-March. After divisions are filled, the online registration system will close and interested players will be directed to a wait list. Team placement will then be based upon availability. SEASON INFO
Dates: All games are played on a Sunday. April 7,14, 21, 28; May 5,12,19, after 11:30 AM (unless rain-out games are rescheduled). No games will be scheduled on Memorial Day Weekend (May 26).
Location: Thornbury Soccer Park & Delacy Soccer Park
Cost: Before 02/15: $115 for one player, $230 for two players, $290 for three players, and $35 for each additional player in a family.
After 2/15: the regular registration fee of $140.00 applies; family discounts will still be available.
End-Of-Season Tournament: June 1st-2nd for U09-U18. (Raindate June 8th-9th).
Rec Plus Select Tournament: June 15th-16th.
Practice: Practices will be held one night each week for one hour and will start one to two weeks before the first game. Currently we have set training nights for these divisions: U06B – Mondays; U06G – Thursdays; U18B – Wednesdays; U18G – Thursdays. Practice nights for all other divisions will depend on coach and/or field availability. Your coach will inform you of your practice day, time and location.
Team assignment: Teams will be assigned by mid-March, and families will be notified of their child’s placement at that time.
Special Placement Requests: The club will attempt to honor one (1) carpooling request for one (1) friend, but this request must be a matching request. (Ex. “Player A” can request to be placed on a team with “Player B,” but “Player B” must request to play with “Player A” as well.) Non-matching requests will not be honored. We will not honor requests for a specific coach, nor are teams forms based upon school attendance, as this is a community-based club, not a school-based club. Matching requests made after March 1, 2013 may not be honored, but we will honor as many requests as possible UP UNTIL the Age Group Commissioner begins to form teams for his/her division.
Note: WCUSC is not responsible for games lost due to weather and/or field conditions. WCUSC reserves the right to schedule weather related make-up games on SATURDAYS during the spring, if needed. No refunds or partial refunds will be made due to games lost because of weather and/or field conditions.
Refund Policy: Refunds may be requested through March 22, 2013 (two weeks before the first game of the season; however, a $25 service charge is applied to all refunds.) After 3/22/13, a player may drop from the league, but a refund will not be issued.
