Spring Recreation League for Boys and Girls in Age Divisions U-06 to U-18

     The WCUSC Spring 2012 Recreation Soccer League is a fun yet competitive league for recreational soccer players of all skill levels who come to play from West Chester and surrounding communities. Teams are formed for boys and girls in age divisions U-06 to U-18 (see chart below).  Early Bird registration is available online from December 8th to January 31, 2012. During early bird registration, fees are $110 for one player, $220 for two players in a family, $275 for threeplayers in a family, and $27.50 for each additional player in a family. 

     After January 31st, the regular registration period begins, with the base amount for one or two players in a family changing to $135.00.  Register early, as spots in divisions fill quickly, especially as we move closer to the start of the league in late March. As divisions begin filling, we begin a waitlist for last minute players, and no matching car pool requests are allowed at that point.  Tentatively, we expect to start the wait list as of March 1.

SPRING SEASON PROFILE

•         In the spring, games are generally played on Sundays with games starting on or after the noon hour.
•         The seven game regular season runs from Sunday, April 1 to Sunday, May 20, 2012.
•         An end-of-season (EOS) tournament for U-09 to U-18 will be held June 2-3, 2012 (Rain date June 9-10).
•         No league games will be scheduled on the weekend of April 7-8 or May 26-27.        
•         Practices will be held one night each week for approximately one hour and will start 1-2 weeks before the first game(based on weather/field conditions)
•         In some divisions, coaches choose their practice night based upon their availability.·        
•         Teams are assigned by mid- March, and families will be notified of their child’s placement by mid to late March.

Special Placement Requests:  The club will attempt to honor one (1) carpooling request for one (1) friend, but this request must be a matching request.  (Ex. “Player A” can request to be placed on a team with “Player B,” but “Player B” must request to play with “Player A” as well.)  Non-matching requests will not be honored.  We will not honor requests for a specific coach, nor are teams forms based upon school attendance, as this is a community-based club, not a school-based club.  Once team assigning begins, matching requests will not be allowed. 

Travel Players:  Travel-level players (those carded by a state league for the current soccer year 2011-2012) must identify themselves when they register in the comments section and also by sending an email to the league administrator at registration@wcusc.org.  Travel players are NOT allowed to submit matching car pool requests with other travel players.  Age group commissioners will distribute these players between teams for equity and balance per rec league policy.

Note: WCUSC is not responsible for games lost due to weather and/or field conditions.  WCUSC reserves the right to schedule weather related make-up games on Saturdays during the spring, if needed.  No refunds or partial refunds will be made due to games lost because of weather and/or field conditions.

Registration Late Fees and Refund Policy:  A late fee of $25.00 per player is charged for all registrations after January 31, 2012. Refunds may be requested through March 18, 2012 (two weeks before the first game of the season); however, a $25 service charge is applied to all refunds.  After 03/18/12, a player may drop from the league, but a refund will not be issued.
