(October 8 - Cape May, NJ)  After a challenging first year and battling a hurricane last year, yet still falling 1 goal short of the finals, WCUSC’s U14 Boys Titans finally brought home the championship trophy, in this their final year of age eligibility for the Cape May Columbus Weekend tournament.  The Titans eclipsed very competitive teams from Massappequa, NY, Cape May, NJ, and Parkland, PA , on the way to winning their group.  They then faced Hockessin, DE, in what would be a rematch of a recent Delco league game, where West Chester had led most of the game and allowed an accidental goal in the waning minutes for a tie.  This time there would be no tie, as the Titans scored first and held Hockessin scoreless the entire match to win the championship.  The Titans defense, led by goalie Michael LaGace, along with defenders Danny Boate, Jason Donehower, Will Esten, Johnny Lister, Eric Moore allowed only 1 goal in 4 g ames , finishing with 3 shutouts.  The midfield was controlled by Dan Radich, David Schlentz, Denton Jochums, Eric Grady, Jake Kittel, Eric Miller, and Austin Goewert while the offense of Bobby MacKenzie, Luke Lefebure, Aaron Volz, Sam Houlette, and Kevin Robinson scored 6 goals over 4 games, including 3 comeback goals over Parkland, PA.
