(December 10, 2007) We’d like to announce West Chester United Soccer Club’s Capital Campaign: A Field for All Seasons. The club’s first ever capital campaign is to raise funds to pay for improvements to our fields. First and most importantly, we are trying to raise enough funds to install an all-weather, turf field at the currently named Ciccarone field. Ciccarone is our only lighted field, located at route 202 and Westtown Road. An all-weather turf surface will make this a year-round, all-season field, which will improve our usage of this field exponentially. An all-weather, synthetic field will take immense stress and strain off of our grass fields, and allow us to allocate more of our resources to improving those fields (throughout the year).
