Mission Statement:
The mission of the WCUSC Community Development Program is to offer the youth of West Chester and surrounding communities supplementary programs and events that develop participants athletic, academic, and life skills; in a fun, safe, encouraging environment.
Objectives:
The Community Development Program will provide a dynamic and active learning environment that will focus on improving particpant’s literacy, cultural, geographic, athletic, problem solving, and life skills.
History:
The WCUSC Community Development Program is part of West Chester United Soccer Club which was founded in 1976 and is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Beginning with just four teams playing a fall season at Hillsdale Elementory School. The purpose of the soccer club, then and now, is to provide the youth of West Chester and the surrounding area an opportunity to play the game of soccer at a variety of levels of instruction and competition. The club started a small instructional program and then added competitive teams and supplementary programs. The club now offers a soccer environment for members aged between 3 and adult. The club currently has 57 travel teams and the followingn programs:
- Little Player Program: for players aged between 3-5

Recreational Program: for players in kindergarten through 12th grade

West Chester United Soccer Club is a non-profit youth organization governed by an elected Board of Directors. WCUSC offers soccer opportunities for the youth of our community as well as for adults, creating and environment where the whole family can become involved. WCUSC currently has youth soccer programs for over 3,400 boys and girls aged 3 - 18 and approximately 200 adult players.
The Community Development Program is a great addition to a multi-service club that prides itself on providing a soccer environment for all levels of ability and the whole community.
