The training is for travel players only and will start in the week of March 26, running for 9 weeks until week of May 21. All training sessions are led by the WCUSC GK Training Staff. All primary goalkeeper are highly encouraged to attend these free sessions in addition to their team training. Dear Parents, Players and Coaches of West Chester United Soccer Club and Spirit United Soccer Club:

We hope you had a wonderful winter season and are enjoying the beginning of the Spring weather, hopefully everyone has been able to get outside and enjoy the fantastic game of soccer. The Boards of Directors would like to inform you of some of the work we have been doing to maximize your child’s soccer experience.

Both Boards believe that it is imperative that we continually investigate all opportunities that are available to maintain our status as elite clubs in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Most importantly, we must continue with our effort to maximize the playing opportunities and player development possibilities for all our players, and to provide a great place to play for all soccer players in the area, at every level. To do this, the Boards have begun talks to investigate collaborative strategies that will enable us to continue to grow our respective clubs and enhance your child’s experience. As you may know, our two clubs already work closely with each other for the benefit of our players in the highly successful Penn Fusion program, as well as through other programs.

At this time the discussions have been preliminary and have involved a sharing of various ideas for possible collaboration. Among the topics of discussions are: maintaining outstanding soccer experiences at a cost effective manner for every level of player, recruiting, training and maintaining outstanding coaches, and maximizing and maintaining optimum fields and facilities. Throughout the discussions, both Boards have been relying upon the thoughts and ideas of the Directors of Coaching. Although we do not yet know what if any forms of collaboration we may elect to pursue, we do believe there are many exciting opportunities worth considering.

Youth soccer is constantly evolving. To stay current with the latest changes and anticipated changes that come from organizations such as U.S. Soccer, US Club, EPYSA, local, regional & national level leagues we must be ready to have the infrastructure in place for all of our kids. As we continue our discussions, we will be providing periodic updates on our websites.
