2012 Indoor Recreation League & Registration Information

West Chester United’s 2012 Indoor Recreation League is for recreation-level players in age divisions ranging from U-06 to U-14. Season kick-off is in the middle of January, and the season ends in the middle of March. Join us this winter for our fun and fast-paced league which is certain to chase away the winter blues!                                                                                                                                          

WHAT:  
Nine Saturdays of indoor soccer games in a round-robin format, with no weekday practices, and with no standings kept. One game played each Saturday over a nine to eleven week period.

AGES:  
For U06, U07, U08, U9, U10, U11/12, and U13/14 age divisions, both boys’ and girls’ separate divisions. Certain age divisions may be combined to make proper use of our indoor rental time.

DATES:  
January 14, 21, 28; February 4, 11, 18, 25; March 3 (younger divisions only), March 10 (last day for U06/7s and U08s unless snow dates are needed) March 17 (last day for U10s unless snow dates are needed) , March 24 (last day for U11/12s and U13/14s unless snow date is needed), and March 31 (snow date for U11/12s and U13/14s)
LOCATIONS: 
U06/07s*, U08s* will be at the Melton Community Center, 501 East Miner Street, West Chester, on Saturdays.  Game kickoff times range from 9 AM to 1:00 PM. 
*Please note: Age divisions may be combined and location of games may be changed to make the best use of our indoor rental time/facilities and to give all age groups the opportunity to play in the indoor league.
 U09/10s*, U11/12*, U13/14*, will be at United Sports Training Center, 1426 Marshallton-Thorndale Road, Downingtown, on Saturdays. Game kickoff times range from 12:00 PM to 5:45 PM.

DEADLINES/FEES: 
Early bird registration period runs from November 16 to midnight, December 21, 2011 (or until spots in a division are filled) and the early bird registration fee is $110.00 per player (no multiple player/family discounts for indoor). The regular registration period runs from December 22, 2011 (or until spots on each team are filled) and the regular registration fee during this time period is $135.00.   
SPECIAL PLACEMENT REQUESTS: 
The club will attempt to honor ONE carpooling request with ONE friend, but this request MUST be a matching (reciprocated) request entered in our online registration system. For example, Player A may request to be placed on a team with Player B, and Player B must request to be placed on a team with Player A. This is done during the online registration process by entering your requested friend’s name in the “Special Request” section of the registration form. NO requests for a specific coach or a specific team are allowed, nor are requests which list multiple players instead of a single carpooling friend. Because this is a community-based recreation league, we make every attempt to balance teams by level of play and by creating teams with a blend of players from many different schools.
TRAVEL PLAYER POLICY:
Currently, travel (carded by EPYSA or US Club Soccer) players are allowed to participate in the recreation indoor league, but only under these conditions: 1) they must identify themselves as travel players when they register, stating their specific team/level in the special request section; 2) they must play one division higher than their current age level; and 3) they are not allowed any special carpooling requests which would allow them to be placed with other travel/carded players. Staff coaches here at WCUSC require that you receive approval from your respective Director of Coaching BEFORE you register for WCUSC’s Recreation Indoor Soccer League. 
REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY:
Refunds may be requested until December 31, 2011 (two weekends before the season begins), and a $25.00 service charge will be applied. After December 31, players may drop from the league, but a refund will not be provided.
