RecPlus (Rec Select) is an awesome opportunity for your Recreational (Intramural) Players!
If your club is new to the idea of RecPlus let us explain what it is and how to get involved.
WCUSC’s RecPlus team creation process:
The number of RecPlus players needed from each team would be communicated to all your recreational teams. A RecPlus coach for each team is selected. (The coach takes the lead from here).
The RecPlus Coach:
1. is then given the contact information for the coaches in their age group.
2. gathers the recommended player information and creates a roster.
3. collects the fees and registers the team (WCUSC player fees cover the Tounament, patches and Jerseys).
4. request jerseys and pins for game day from your club.
5. request a practice location and runs a few practices.
6. see that the team arrives on time game day at the venue.
7. registers the team at the venue.
8. see that the team and parents have a blast participating in the event.
We also have a check list to help the coach in the process. The RecPlus lead for the club tracks each coach’s progress by milestones.
RecPlus coaches team creation milestones:
- Receive the RecPlus Coaches documentation.
- Receive your age groups coaches contact information.
- Send an email to the coaches requesting the established number of players.
- Receive the nominated players from each team.
- Contact the player’s parent to introduce yourself and verify the parents support.
- Update your roster.
- Collect the fees.
- Setup your practice.
- Get it done on game day.
